[English Ghazal] ....all night

Immersed in my blog all night
in virtual world I slog all night

A wide-eyed me sleep abhors
and on junk food I hog all night

To make ends meet, to pay my bills
I worked again like a dog all night

Inside, the fire of need burnt bright
Outside the windows, it was fog all night

In the milieu of ideas flowing onto screen
Your memory was the only clog all night

“Mahfuuz” the hard-working idiot he is
He forgot to maintain the log all night
