[Poem] Home
Inside the crumbling walls
of a place we call home,
under its weather-beaten roof
braving the winter fog
besides the hearth,
cold and gloomy,
in tattered blankets,
and empty stomachs,
love needed no reason to breathe
You and me were never so close.
