These pictures,
in their wetness,
in every drop’s voice,
a life struggles for survival
Those school buses, almost drowned,
they are full of children
with wet, bloated schoolbags on their backs
Whether you see them or you do not,
whether you tell anyone or you do not,
these pictures shall have the same wet meaning.
Treasure them,
for tomorrow if someone dreams and exalt of rains,
you must thrust these on his face!!
A poem in Malayalam by T.K. Muralidharan
