[Verse] As usual

Half past nine.
Sunny morning.
As I look down
from the window near the aisle,
all I can see
is the streaming life below.
Ant-like human cavalcades
inching towards
destinations unknown.
Little mechanical dragons
spewing smoke through their nostrils
hurtling through the streets
in studied vengeance.
Life, the Pied Piper
persisting to deceive
his unassuming entourage.
Being ferried down the lift
I could only smile but once,
for in moments,
I would be lost in the melee,
astride a dragon,
captivated and driven
in search of that Pied Piper.
